Software Engineer

Cluj

Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.

Joining Snyk means embracing our core values: One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where fostering collaboration, leading with empathy, driving business impact, and inspiring trust are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Opportunity

The Snyk Learn team is on a mission to create educated, security-aware developers, leading to more secure software development for years to come. We will do this by becoming the one-stop, go-to destination for developers and security practitioners to learn about secure software practices and how to be successful with the Snyk platform through product training. We envision that all Snyk customers will adopt Snyk Learn to drive their security education programs, from shift-left adoption to secure coding training for compliance. This will continue to lead to more successful security outcomes for users through informed and educated developers.

The team is specifically responsible for building and evolving learn.snyk.io, with exciting roadmap plans for the rest of 2025!

You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • Building Snyk Learn, our Snyk training and security education product for Developers and Enterprises.
  • Leveraging AI technology to bring new education experiences to our customers.
  • Maintaining + scaling our multi-cloud platform and infrastructure.
  • Pair-programming and collaboratively building the services that power Snyk Learn.
  • Using best practices and new technologies to maintain and extend our existing services.
  • Working across the full stack and entire development life cycle to build, test, deploy, and support high-quality, reliable, fast services that power Snyk.
  • Collaborating with other teams to build a product everyone truly loves.
  • Continuously delivering small, high-quality changes to production at a sustainable pace.
  • Participating in our on-call rotation (compensated).

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience with Node/Javascript/Typescript/PostgreSQL.
  • Are familiar with distributed system architecture and Kubernetes based applications.
  • Collaboration skills for paired programming and code reviews, and enjoyment in working with others.
  • The ability to talk about potentially complex technical concepts in ways that make it easy for others to understand.
  • High standards for code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Comfort working with multiple teams and across the stack to deliver new features from ideation to production.

We’d be Lucky if You:

  • Have experience contributing to an educational platform or working in the education industry (even the odd guest lecture or mentoring students!)
  • Have worked on Enterprise capabilities like Role Based Access and Reporting, especially using Snowflake.
  • Are interested in Generative AI and have built systems using or experimented with this technology.
