POSITION SUMMARY
As Sol de Janeiro is rapidly growing and expanding, we are looking for a Senior Manager to support our UK and APAC regions
This position reports directly to Finance Director for Americas, UK, and APAC located in New York with a dotted line to UK Commercial Leader in the UK. This position will be required to work with the APAC team located in Paris, and is therefore a true collaborative role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key finance partner to UK and APAC commercial team, supporting day to day financial activities
- Manage all finance metric performance for the UK/APAC region.
- Lead and prepare Annual Operating Plan, Reforecasts, and Long Term Planning
- Partner closely with Accounting with month end/year end close, provide supporting documentation for journal entries and assist with audit as needed
- Review monthly closings actuals; compare actuals with budget, reforecast and LY and provide variance commentary as needed
- Partner with team to provide weekly/monthly sales updates compared AOP/reforecast and manage marketing spending within plan.
- Understand business results and trends; analyze results for risk/opportunities, assess ROIs on investments
- Special projects and financial ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 - 10 years experience in Finance/Business analysis and FP&A
- Beauty and other consumer goods experience are preferred
- Understanding of Accounting rules(IFRS, CIPFA etc)
- Accredited within the finance industry
- Experience with financial systems: ERP (SAP, NetSuite or similar)
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint (i.e. pivot tables, lookups, index, etc)
- Strong analytical skills; ability to identify critical concerns and prioritize; problem-solving/ solution finder abilities.
- Pro-active ; Ability to handle a multitude of projects and issues at one time
- Team player ; interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels within an organization
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Self-motivation; high energy level; ability to work independently
- Open-minded. Actively elicits different points of view and understands different perspectives
