Position Summary
Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a Program Manager, Partnerships & Events to lead the planning and execution of strategic brand activations, partnership initiatives, and consumer-facing events for the AFEELA brand. This on-site position based in Culver City, CA is ideal for an experienced marketing and events professional with a strong background in end-to-end program management.
This individual will oversee event schedules, budgets, contracts, and vehicle logistics while ensuring every activation reflects SHMA’s premium brand experience. The role partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital, and Retail teams to drive alignment across programs and deliver excellence from concept through execution. Frequent travel within California and occasional travel outside the state, including Japan, is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of partnership programs and consumer-facing events that represent the AFEELA brand vision.
- Manage timelines, budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices while maintaining accuracy and compliance with finance processes.
- Oversee vehicle fleet logistics for events including scheduling, loading, unloading, transport, readiness checks, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed inventory tracking of giveaways, branded materials, and event collateral to ensure timely allocation and replenishment.
- Serve as the main internal and external point of contact for event execution by coordinating with agencies, partners, and vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
- Track and report on campaign milestones and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Retail, and Digital teams to integrate technology-driven engagement tools into events.
- Provide on-site support during event setup, vehicle installation and removal, and technical issue resolution.
- Represent SHMA at events to uphold brand standards, ensure a premium guest experience, and maintain operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability within event operations.
Required Qualifications for Position
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, partnerships, or large-scale event execution within automotive, technology, or premium consumer industries.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal teams, vendors, and agencies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including hands-on experience managing budgets, schedules, and operational logistics.
- Comfortable working directly with vehicles and event equipment, including physical setup and troubleshooting on-site.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management platforms such as Asana, Airtable, or Salesforce.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to adapt in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently within California (2–3 times per month) and occasionally outside the state (1–2 times per quarter, including Japan).
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required for event execution.
Preferred Qualifications for Position
- Experience managing brand partnerships, influencer activations, or integrated marketing campaigns.
- Background in performance marketing, digital storytelling, or experiential marketing.
- Familiarity with EVs, connected platforms, or mobility-related events.
- Technical experience supporting event operations, AV networking, or display systems.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading teams during live activations.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120,000-$130,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
