We are looking for individuals that are passionate about our brand and combating fraud, have a high sense of integrity, and excel in building positive relationships! Our team partners with cross-functional internal teams to lead and drive forward multiple simultaneous strategic projects for fraud mitigation. You will lead efforts that require thoughtfully balancing multiple external relationships including those with game publishers, fraud solution suppliers, and fraud industry organizations.

We need team members with a strong understanding of online fraud, the incentives of fraudsters, the hunger to outsmart them, the creativity to think like them, and an ability to use new and existing tools to halt them. The person in this role will be a fraud domain specialist. We are committed to building a next-generation fraud and risk platform that will support the global, fast-growing PlayStation® business.

Your primary responsibilities will be building and driving effective day-to-day relationships with multiple teams to facilitate the delivery of strategic fraud projects. Using a variety of inquiry and analytical tools and techniques, you will analyze data, identify malicious behavior, and make recommendations to mitigate it. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with multiple worldwide business units and outside 3rd parties to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their involvement, goals, expectations, tasks, and timelines.

What you'll be doing:

  • Works with product, data science, and engineering teams to advance fraud system delivery
  • Performs proactive fraud research and detailed data analysis to support strategies
  • Investigates fraud and abuse methods and creates strategies to mitigate fraud trends globally
  • Defines strategic product vision, evolution of fraud services roadmap, and technology strategy
  • Collaborates with internal teams to identify and suppress observed fraud trends
  • Creates requirements for fraud components of product roadmaps and business programs
  • Understands and balances the customer experience with fraud mitigation recommendations
  • Facilitates fraud and risk vendor evaluation, recommendation, and onboarding
  • Communicates fraud metrics and reports on fraud mitigation efforts
  • Drives alliances with outside sources such as fraud and gaming industry partners

What we're looking for:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce fraud risk mitigation
  • 3+ years technical product delivery experience (product management for fraud feature or product)
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to achieve business objectives
  • Hands-on experience with open source intelligence, SQL, and data visualization tools
  • Experience preparing sophisticated analyses for fraud, data science, and/or payments
  • Self-motivated with strong project management skills

Preferred Qualities:

  • Big data experience
  • Familiarity with digital media software and networking technologies, especially those related to Sony’s products, services, and devices
  • Ability to summarize information and communicate effectively based on target audience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with geographically remote teams
  • Flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations
  • Adherence to protocols for communicating confidential information

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$145,700 - $218,500 USD
