Senior Product Manager, Platform Experience

Location: San Mateo, San Diego, Aliso Viejo, or Los Angeles

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team and help shape the foundation that empowers PlayStation's global studios to deliver incredible live service experiences. You will lead the definition and evolution of platform capabilities and internal tools that support live game operations, ensuring seamless integration between game studios and our platform engineering teams.

This role bridges the gap between studio needs and platform capabilities. You will represent the voice of the studio within the platform organization, helping balance bespoke game requirements with scalable, strategic solutions that benefit the entire PlayStation ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of PlayStation’s game studio needs and workflows, particularly for live service game operations.

  • Define and prioritize platform capabilities, services, and tools that improve time-to-market, operational stability, and developer efficiency.

  • Translate studio feedback and operational requirements into scalable product strategies that support a diverse portfolio of titles.

  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, developer support, and publishing operations teams across the U.S. and Japan to build and evolve cross-cutting solutions.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of platform tools and services by studios.

  • Understanding of software development and efficiency working closely with Engineers

  • Drive documentation, support structures, and developer enablement strategies to ensure long-term sustainability and effectiveness of live services capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in product management roles, preferably focused on internal tools, developer platforms, or live game services.

  • Deep understanding of software development workflows, including CI/CD, telemetry, backend services, and APIs.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills — you are comfortable balancing trade-offs across engineering, studios, and business teams.

  • Self-starter with strong product sense who can define solutions and lead teams from concept through to adoption.

  • Data-driven decision-making with the ability to synthesize user feedback and technical constraints into product roadmaps.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in live service game operations, either as a product owner, producer, or tools developer.

  • Familiarity with PlayStation developer tools, publishing pipelines, or partner studio integrations.

  • Track record of scaling internal tools or services across multiple teams or geographies.

  • Passion for enabling world-class games and supporting the creative teams behind them.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$168,900 - $253,300 USD
