Procurement Analyst (Contract)

Position Overview: 

The Procurement Analyst supports Sony Interactive Entertainment’s global procurement operations by driving data-driven insights, process excellence, and system optimization. This role serves as the Procurement Process Owner and Coupa Business Administrator, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable procurement practices while leveraging analytics, automation, and collaboration to deliver measurable value to the business.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Act as Procurement Process Owner and Coupa Business Administrator, driving continuous improvement, system configuration, and global process governance.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on procurement processes, including resolving system errors, addressing payment and invoice inquiries, and handling tax and account coding issues. Troubleshoot procurement-related issues, including contracts, system errors, user access, and documentation. Oversee all processes related to purchasing goods and services
  • Own and optimize procurement data infrastructure, building and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards and analytical models that provide actionable insights into spending, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) to interpret trends, model scenarios, and support decision-making.
  • Contribute to AI and automation initiatives that enhance sourcing and procurement workflows, increasing process speed and accuracy.
  • Coordinate supplier communications to ensure timely resolution of sourcing events, deliverables, and issue escalations.
  • Analyze spending and supplier data to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements, driving total value optimization.
  • Prepare executive-ready summaries and recommendations for procurement initiatives and performance reporting.
  • Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to track trends in procurement technology, category management, and supplier innovation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Vendor Management, Category Management, Sourcing, and Finance to execute procurement initiatives and align on process enhancements.
  • Support system integrations and upgrades (e.g., Coupa, ERP platforms), ensuring requirements are met and adoption is achieved.
  • Develop training materials and lead workshops to promote best practices and consistent use of procurement systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement Policy, SOX, and documentation standards across all procurement activities.
  • Support ESG and supplier diversity reporting using data-driven insights to measure and communicate impact.
  • Serve as a data-driven advisor to the Procurement team, connecting analytical findings with strategic business objectives.

Required Knowledge / Skills: 

Analytics & Technology:

  • Advanced skills in Power BI and Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) for data analysis and reporting.

  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and workflow tools to enhance procurement efficiency.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

Procurement Systems & Processes:

  • Proficient in Coupa or similar P2P platforms, with solid understanding of system configuration and integration.

  • Knowledge of Source-to-pay, contracting, and supplier management processes.

  • Experience driving process improvements and support system upgrades.

Business & Communication:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey insights to technical and executive audiences.

  • Collaborative and influential across Finance, Legal, Vendor Management, Sourcing teams, and end users/requisition owners.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of cost optimization levers.

Professional Attributes:

  • High attention to detail, strong prioritization, and project management skills

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global environment

Qualifications:

Required Experience / Education:

  • 5+ years’ experience of which 3+ years of technology related experience
  • Shows curiosity in leveraging AI tools for process improvement
  • Understanding of and experience with collaboration technologies

Preferred Experience / Education:

  • 4 Year degree from an accredited university preferred
  • 2+ years of Business Administration experience with Coupa
  • Experience with Data Analytics

$45 - $60 USD
