Director of Global Communications

Job Summary:  

We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Director of Global Communications to lead Strider’s external and internal communications strategies across key global markets. This role is pivotal in enhancing Strider’s brand presence, managing media relations, and ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms. The Director of Global Communications will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, to craft narratives that resonate with our target audiences and advance our mission. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and the ability to adapt messaging to various audiences. They will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and possess the ability to lead a team while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Key Responsibilities: 

Communications Strategy: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with Strider’s mission and business objectives.
  • Craft compelling narratives and key messages that articulate Strider’s value proposition to external audiences, including clients, partners, and media.
  • Oversee the creation of all communication materials, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content.

Media Relations: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers working closely with our PR firm, Vrge Strategies.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, managing all media inquiries and ensuring accurate and positive media coverage.
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to elevate Strider’s profile in the media.
  • Help develop executive team profiles and position team members as thought leaders.

Internal Communications: 

  • Collaborate with People Operations and leadership teams to develop and implement internal communication strategies that foster a cohesive company culture.
  • Ensure that employees are informed and engaged through regular updates, internal newsletters, and company-wide meetings.
  • Support change management initiatives by crafting clear and effective communication plans.

Leadership and Team Management: 

  • Manage our external PR agency, Vrge Strategies, and other vendors.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints. 
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO and senior leadership team.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A graduate degree and/or 7+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or related fields is preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies within the technology, intelligence, or related industries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong media relations experience, including crisis communication and proactive media engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
