What you will do: 

As Product Manager of the Reco Engine team, within the Data Enlightenment sub-tribe, you’ll be at the forefront of TheFork’s AI/ML-powered initiatives. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive innovation and build AI capabilities that enhance our core products—TheFork App and TheFork Manager—while supporting the company’s broader strategic goals.

The Data Enlightenment sub-tribe empowers teams across TheFork to harness the full potential of data and AI, creating meaningful value for both diners and restaurants.

Data Enlightenment sub-tribe main goals:

  • Lead product innovation at TheFork relying on Data and AI in general.
  • Develop frameworks and tools to support company-wide AI-related initiatives
  • Explore AI to analyse UGC and provide valuable insights and recommendations to diners and restaurants.
  • Build and maintain high-value assets created from AI processing that enhance the user experience on TheFork App, TheFork Manager and the marketplace. (including ranking, content understanding, etc…)

Key responsibilities

Product Strategy

In partnership with the Group Product Manager of Data Enlightenment:

  • Gather and play with Data to make strong hypothesis and identify new opportunities to feed Data Enlightenment strategy proactively.
  • Shape and communicate a clear product vision aligned with TheFork’s AI roadmap.
  • Drive alignment and visibility of the product strategy across stakeholders and teams.
  • Ensure AI initiatives are grounded in customer value and business impact.

Product Execution

  • Own and manage the product backlog, define functional specifications, and oversee delivery of AI-powered features.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
  • Manage dependencies with multiple teams and ensure reliable, on-time delivery.
  • Experiment with and optimize AI models

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Help define the operating model for how the Reco Engine team supports and empowers other teams.
  • Ensure stakeholders always have visibility on plans, progress, goals and delivery
  • Facilitate transversal coordination across product teams to ensure seamless integration of AI capabilities.
  • Contribute to a better understanding across the company of specificities of AI products. Educate/communicate to strengthen AI/ML understanding across the company.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay on top of AI and product trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Monitor emerging technologies to keep our AI platform future-ready
  • Contribute to the evolution of TheFork’s AI capabilities and product management processes by sharing best practices and insights.
  • Drive initiatives that position TheFork as a leader in the application of AI within the industry.




Who you are:

You Must Meet These Critical Qualifications 

  • You have 4+ years experience in product management, (ideally on marketplaces). 
  • Solid data analytics skills: SQL, advanced Amplitude usage…
  • A solid understanding of tech, AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning, and data analysis, that lets you earn the respect of engineers.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage wide-scoped roadmaps effectively in a fast-paced AI landscape
  • Good communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker who also thrives in execution and delivery.
  • You have a true obsession for customers and a passion for the restaurant industry.
  • You believe that Product management is not simply about shipping features and that your work is not done until what you have built has a measurable impact on customers (internal as well as external) and business metrics.
  • You are fluent in English

 

You Can Impress With These Additions

  • Being fluent in french is a strong plus
  • Previous experience as an engineer or data scientist/analyst is a plus
  • You have already successfully conducted an AI/ML based project and you can share your return of experience about it.
