Talent Acquisition Specialist

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you play a critical role in helping our organization grow by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent. You will partner closely with hiring managers and team leaders to understand talent needs, provide market insights, and guide candidates through a meaningful and engaging recruitment experience. This role blends relationship-building, strategy, and execution to ensure a strong candidate pipeline and a best-in-class hiring process that reflects our culture and values.
Essential functions
Recruitment Strategy & Planning
- Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs, role requirements, and team dynamics.
- Create and execute tailored sourcing strategies based on position level, business unit, and talent market insights.
- Provide consultative support to stakeholders, offering guidance on job descriptions, interview structures, and hiring decisions.
- Educate hiring managers on talent market research specific to the geographic location of the hiring need.
Candidate Sourcing & Selection
- Proactively source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, events and community partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates, industry contacts, and talent communities to reduce time-to-fill and support strategic workforce planning.
- Conduct preliminary interviews to assess candidate fit and alignment with role competencies and culture.
- Evaluate candidate assessments and provide hiring team with interview questions based on findings.
- Coordinate interview processes, including scheduling, feedback collection, and debriefs, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience.
Process Management & Reporting
- Manage requisitions and candidate pipelines in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), maintaining accurate and compliant records.
- Track key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health) and share insights with stakeholders to improve process outcomes.
- Identify and support continuous improvements in recruiting workflows, systems, and candidate engagement tactics.
- Maintain consistent follow up and collaboration with hiring team throughout hiring process.
Employer Brand & Talent Outreach
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting efforts to build a diverse and qualified talent pool.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives by helping craft recruitment marketing materials and promoting company culture externally.
- Champion inclusive hiring practices and partner with internal teams on DEIB-focused recruiting strategies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices and recruitment compliance.
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and fill roles across various functions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple searches at once while maintaining a high standard of candidate and stakeholder experience.
- Familiarity with employer branding strategies and talent marketing tactics.
- Experience supporting DEIB recruiting efforts and working with diverse candidate pipelines is a plus.
Technical functions
- Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); experience with Greenhouse or similar platform preferred.
- Comfortable using recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, and other job boards or sourcing technologies.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
- Able to analyze recruiting data and trends to inform strategy and improve results.
- Maintains compliance with data protection standards, including confidentiality of candidate and hiring information.
