The immunology portfolio includes biologics to address organ transplant rejection, autoimmunity, and cancer. The infectious disease pipeline includes a vaccine in development to prevent smallpox and monkeypox, which also serves as a live virus vaccine platform for other infectious diseases. Finally, the rare disease portfolio includes a product in development for Prader-Willi syndrome, which has both orphan drug designation and rare pediatric disease designation grants from the FDA.

Position Overview
The Senior Director, Access Marketing and Patient Support Services plays a pivotal role in ensuring patient access to Tonix Pharmaceuticals therapies, leading strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving patient-centric programs, directly impacting patient outcomes and contributing to the success of our organization. This role is responsible for collaborating with the brand team, NADs and MSLs to develop and execute on GPO/Payer strategies, national account-specific strategies, and other associated targets. This position in collaboration with our designated PSS vendor(s) will ensure the efficient design, and execution of access services (HUBs, CoPay and other financial support services) resulting in a positive provider and patient experience that optimizes script “pull-through”.
Essential Duties
- Lead the development of market access strategy across all market access segments and execution plan
- Build a value proposition by articulating the business strategy and economic choices for each stakeholder.
- Responsible for building access and patient support program awareness, perception, and proficiency with HCPs through field teams (Sales and Field Access)
- Work across the patient support and cross-functional teams to integrate patient services strategy into Tonix’s broader market access strategy to optimize patient access post-approval
- Monitor, troubleshoot and proactively develop plans of action for issues throughout the patient journey
- Synthesize data/analytics by partnering with our PSS partners and CommOps to effectively evaluate the entire HCP and patient journey
- Own all customer-facing materials and communications for market access teams (Payers, IDNs, PBMs)
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing, National Accounts, Field Access, MSLs and Patient Services teams to lead and develop compliant customer specific initiatives that drive greater product and patient outcomes.
- Determine appropriate action, execution, tracking and monitoring of projects by employing scenario planning, segmentation, positioning, innovation, creative development, and investment optimization as needed.
- Establish payer engagement plans with the Market Access team to support payer education, facilitate access related advisory boards, develop market research plans and drive payer messaging and access pull-through tactics and marquee initiatives.
- Support and aligned execution of business cases related to access opportunities to assess value of the brand.
- Lead successful coordination of access strategies across all Payer types to drive coverage and appropriate reimbursement at the patient and provider level.
- Serve as a content expert for all areas related to payer, patient services, field access, National Accounts, and reimbursement communications to champion related materials through the Medical, Regulatory, Legal review and approval process.
- Build and manage awareness and tools to communicate favorable coverage and access status in support of field messaging and pull-through initiatives
Necessary Skills and Abilities
- Proven record of success in working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
- Experience/knowledge of traditional formulary pull through strategies and tools preferred
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and project management skills.
- Proven record of successful vendor management, specifically as lead for agency partners
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated history of good judgment, problem solving, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Experience successfully managing budgets.
Preferred Skills
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry
- 5 years of bio/pharmaceutical experience required with a key understanding of current US pharmaceutical patient support service models.
- Has prior experience in Market Access Marketing. Candidates without this specific experience will not be considered.
- Has experience in working in markets and 505b2 products, with payer restrictions (step edits, PAs, etc.)
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
