Email Marketing Specialist

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist. The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for work with the marketing team to build email campaigns that align with marketing initiatives, create and distribute emails that support overarching campaign messaging, manage targeted distribution lists, implement email automation, and manage the reporting of email data to provide recommendations for future email strategy. The role will work closely with corporate marketing & communications, growth marketing (and business development) and channel marketing functions to support email marketing needs as part of a broad campaign flow, events, launches and also as singular email initiatives. The role also works with members across our global footprint needing support with the email tool.

 

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills

  • Marketing Experience: 5+ years of experience in marketing with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Email Marketing: Proven experience creating and implementing email marketing campaigns, including automation strategies.
  • Marketing Automation: Proficient in using marketing automation platforms (Pardot preferred) and knowledgeable about their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Data Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like ZoomInfo for data cleanup and Salesforce for CRM management.
  • Email Automation Logic: Expertise in building logic-based automation rules for targeted email campaigns.
  • Email Design & Content: Skilled in providing guidance on email best practices, including design/layout and content creation for impactful messaging.
  • Performance Metrics: Strong ability to analyze data, report on performance metrics, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Data Management: Experience with data cleaning, list management, and maintaining email data standards.
  • Testing & Optimization: Experience conducting A/B and multivariate testing to optimize campaign performance.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team to develop and implement successful email marketing strategies.
  • B2B Email Marketing: In-depth knowledge of industry best practices for B2B email marketing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML (required) and knowledgeable in CSS (preferred). Extensive Pardot experience/knowledge required.
  • Salesforce & Email Building: Experience building and managing email campaigns within Salesforce (preferred).
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail industry is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong time management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Copywriting: Experience in writing persuasive and engaging copy for marketing emails.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience with project management platforms like Asana (preferred).
  • Web & Landing Page Development: Experience building webpages, microsites, and landing pages (Instapage preferred).
  • Campaign Management: Expertise in managing Brand, Demand Gen, and Lead Gen email campaigns simultaneously, with a focus on driving leads and generating revenue.

Responsibilities:

  1. Email Campaign Management:
    Create, test, and deploy marketing email campaigns using the marketing automation platform. Manage and build distribution lists for targeted communications.

  2. Performance Analysis & Reporting:
    Review, analyze, and report on email performance data. Provide actionable insights to improve future email campaigns based on data-driven findings.

  3. Project Management:
    Oversee email marketing requests from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with marketing strategies.

  4. Email Automation:
    Implement automation workflows by creating logic-based rules within the email marketing automation platform.

  5. List Management & Lead Scoring:
    Manage email distribution lists and maintain lead queue/scoring for targeted campaigns and lead nurturing.

  6. Landing Pages & Microsites:
    Design and build landing pages and microsites to support email campaigns and drive conversions.

This role will oversee external communications to customers and potential customers, supporting marketing campaigns and product launches. The primary focus is on nurturing leads to generate interest in products and drive future sales revenue.

Key responsibilities include the implementation of email automation and the creation of related landing pages. As email marketing becomes a larger focus, this role will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive strategy that aligns emails and landing pages with overall business goals, improving campaign performance, increasing leads, and generating opportunities for revenue growth.
