As a member of the Core Systems Engineering team, the Systems Engineer will work under the direction of the Core Systems Engineering Lead and supporting various project engineers and requires interfacing with team members, management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available
LOCATION: Full Time/On-Site at Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL
SALARY: $100,000 - $122,000

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases that are used both to understand and to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system
- Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
- Needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice
- Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts as-required
- Actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, statusing, and supporting agile team leadership

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- The Systems Engineer must have 5-9 years of experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle
- The Systems Engineer should have demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that have led to a fielded product
- The Systems Engineer should have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project
- Missile Defense System prior experience and familiarity is desirable
- Experience with complex Command and Control Systems is desirable
- The Systems Engineer must have 5-9 years of experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle
- The Systems Engineer should have demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that have led to a fielded product

- A Systems Engineer must be able to function as part of an experienced team in developing systems engineering products while adhering to the program Architecture and Systems Engineering Management Plan (ASEMP) and other processes

- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering Tools is desired

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering. Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline is desirable
- Active Secret Clearance Required to Start, but TS preferred
Estimated Pay Range
$100,000 - $122,000 USD
