The Head of Business Systems is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and data architecture that underpin our operations at Turing. This leader will bring order to a fragmented systems landscape by ensuring consistent, accurate, and reliable data across the organization and aligning our enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) with strategic business goals. By driving efficiency, integration, and scalability, the Head of Business Systems will enable data-driven decision-making and lay the foundation for sustainable growth.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Business Systems will work closely with department leaders to centralize and streamline systems management, establish a cohesive data strategy, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. This role will report initially to the CFO.
The Head of Business Systems will focus on three primary areas: Systems Integration and Data Governance, Enterprise Systems Strategy, and Building a Centralized Business Systems Function.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Systems Integration and Data Governance
- Establish and maintain systems of record and sources of truth across the organization to ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable data.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy, focusing on integration, quality, accessibility, and security.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in data across business systems to improve trustworthiness and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data-related regulations and best practices, maintaining the integrity of enterprise data.
- Enterprise Systems Strategy
- Partner with business leaders to align enterprise systems with organizational goals, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic initiatives.
- Define and execute a roadmap for enterprise system integrations, focusing on optimizing workflows and improving cross-departmental collaboration.
- Drive the implementation of analytics capabilities to transform data into actionable insights and foster a data-driven culture.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to address business needs while optimizing costs and minimizing redundancies.
- Building a Centralized Business Systems Function
- Serve as the central coordinator for all business systems-related efforts across the organization, breaking down silos and creating a cohesive approach.
- Collaborate with department-specific data and technology roles (e.g., HR, marketing, finance) to ensure alignment and eliminate duplication of effort.
- Build and lead a high-performing Business Systems team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Develop processes and frameworks for prioritizing system enhancements, integrations, and new implementations based on business value and impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise systems, or IT leadership roles, with a focus on systems integration and data governance.
- Proven success in managing and scaling enterprise systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other enterprise platforms, with experience in optimizing these systems for efficiency and scalability.
- Significant experience managing and integrating Netsuite, Salesforce, and HiBob preferred
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, governance, and analytics best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align stakeholders.
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide data strategies and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
