People Partner
Who We Are
We are looking for an exceptional People Partner (sometimes known externally as HR Business Partners) to join our growing People team. People Partners will support an individual business group and be responsible for helping them scale all things “people” -- everything from employee questions to driving strategic programs on behalf of the executive team. We believe in allowing each team to maintain a lot of control over how best to scale, which gives you tremendous autonomy. This role reports to the VP of People and requires people passionate about doing dozens of things well every day to maximize our employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with a member of the executive leadership team and employees on their team to achieve their People objectives
- Problem-solve and implement strategic programs to help your department scale and meet their business goals -- such as leadership enablement and coaching, analyzing compensation levels, building out career pathing, professional development, retention strategy, and performance management
- Analyze data across a variety of sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas of opportunity
- Advise managers on complex HR matters, including sensitive employee relations issues
- Strengthen the leadership of the organization by coaching managers to effectively performance manage and increase employee engagement with ongoing feedback and effective communication
- Drive cross-company programs to benefit our entire employee base
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree. MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years experience -- HR/People Business Partner experience or adjacent role
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align People initiatives with business objectives, translating strategy into plans for execution
- Data-driven decision maker & strong problem solver who can find root causes of issues and gain leadership support to address them
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Estimated Annual Pay Range
$145,000 - $180,000 USD
