Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and strategic Associate Account Executive Manager to lead our team of Associate Account Executives (AAEs) participating in the Verkademy program. This role will focus on developing and training representatives, in about 6 months, to be successful Account Executives and future sales leaders at Verkada. You will collaborate closely with Mid-Market Sales Leadership and Verkademy Leadership to align with the broader sales development goals.

This role will focus on ensuring the success and development of AAEs while collaborating closely with leadership to align with the broader goals of the sales development organization. The Associate Account Executive Manager will report directly to the Head of AAEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of Associate Account Executives, providing guidance and support in their role-plays, cold calls, customer calls, and career development. 
    • Foster a positive, high-energy work environment that encourages teamwork and individual accountability.
    • Conduct interviews to hire top talent for individual teams and the AAE program.
  • Training and Development:
    • Conduct and grade weekly AAE role-plays and in-depth training sessions to ensure the sales development of each rep. 
    • Responsible for coaching representatives on the execution of role-plays.
    • Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to provide clear, and actionable feedback to ensure rep improvement.
    • On-boarding - AAE overview (every new cohort ~16 a year)
  • Performance Management:
    • Set clear expectations on the AAE program and promotion guidelines while monitoring their progression through the program. 
    • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs), role-play scores, and off-the-dash metrics to assess team performance and drive results.
  • Sales Strategy Execution:
    • Collaborate with the Director, Sr. AAE Managers, and MM Sales Leadership to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, sales operations, recruiting, people's partner team, workplace, and sales enablement to ensure work efficiency.
    • Responsible for working with MM Sales Leadership, in the perspective office, for hiring goals and promotions.
    • Share insights and feedback with leadership on team performance, churn, promotion goals, and Verkademy Grad AE performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field;
  • 1.5 - 2 years of sales experience, focusing on managing or mentoring entry-level sales teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in technology or SaaS sales is a plus.

Annual Pay Range

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$110,000 - $125,000 USD
