QA Automation Engineer (Resi)

Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Automation engineer to support Vonage’s Residential platform. As part of this role, the candidate will learn, automate our front end and backend Business Support Systems (BSS) including billing , product catalog, ordering shipping and more. The components also support the APIs for all frontend applications including support tools, customer self service, subscribe and online account.
Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Responsibilities, Software, Etc.)
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the role of a QA Automation Engineer is required.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Linux based systems (RedHat, Docker, etc.)
- Develop automated tests and test frameworks to enhance software quality.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, resiliency, and chaos testing.
- Identify and implement quality processes to enhance engineering efficiency.
- Automate various aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong automation testing expertise for REST and SOAP APIs, with coding proficiency in Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Apache & WebLogic platforms
- Understanding of various database architectures (SQL / Oracle, Mongo, etc.)
- Working knowledge of GIT, SVN, JIRA, AWS, Puppet, SOAPUI
- Experience partnering and collaborating with both on and off-shore teams
- Experience working in an agile environment
Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)
- Knowledge of billing platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Grafana and Kibana.
- Understanding of JMS or other message processing platforms.
