Location & Flexibility
Our HR Business Partner (HRBP) is an integral part of our team at TELUS Digital. To help retain our deep culture of collaboration, this role will maintain an in-office presence in a hybrid capacity (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) from our Columbus, OH; Durham, NC; or Charlottesville, VA office.
The Opportunity

We are at a unique crossroads as a firm, and we need a functional HR Business Partner to take full advantage of the opportunity ahead of us by driving our people strategy for our global and evolving consulting firm. To achieve this, you will partner closely with our senior leaders across our firm who are passionate about their craft and their teams. This will allow you to influence leadership decisions, help foster employee development, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and leaders to drive business unit and firm-wide HR initiatives forward
- Developing positive relationships across the organization as a knowledgeable and trusted HR advisor
- Providing performance management guidance and coaching to business leaders and managers
- Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders and team members while driving forward our performance development programs
- Guiding managers through difficult conversations, including disciplinary actions and performance development plans
- Analyzing HR trends and metrics to recommend solutions within the business and firmwide programs and policies to enhance organizational effectiveness, retention, and employee satisfaction.
- Resolving complex employee relations issues and grievances, including guiding mediation
- Conducting thorough and objective investigations including discrimination, harassment, policy violation, and misconduct
- Guiding the business through initiatives related to succession planning, restructures, retention, and growth
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience within various aspects of Human Resources, specifically performance management and employee relations
- Experience in an HRBP or HR Generalist role in a high-growth organization
- Exceptional knowledge of local, state, and federal labor and employment laws and regulations
- Excellent listening and communication skills paired with proven experience building rapport across a business
- Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to solve complex problems and drive change across an organization
- You’re passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and are always looking for ways to make people feel heard
- You’re excited to work in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapt to change, and thrive in a complex and highly collaborative atmosphere
- You don’t shy away from difficult conversations — you’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback to help team members go beyond their full potential
- Experience working with international organizations
Bonus Points
- Involved in a merger and/or acquisition in the past
- Experience utilizing Workday HRIS
- You have your PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
- Fluency in the digital product industry

USA Pay Range
$110,000 - $140,000 USD
