About BEES

Join us to build the future of B2B commerce!

BEES is AB InBev’s B2B platform. Through our ecosystem, merchants and retailers across 29 countries can stock their businesses quickly, easily, and securely. At BEES, we dream big, lead with purpose, and develop technology that transforms the way retailers and sellers grow.

Every line of code and every partnership is built in service of a single mission: to make commerce better for retailers and sellers around the world. Here, your work is not just important. It makes a difference!

About this opportunity

In this role, you will be part of a backend engineering team that builds and evolves services supporting BEES' global B2B commerce platform. You will work on scalable, resilient systems that enable smooth and reliable experiences for retailers and sellers, collaborating with teammates across different regions and functions.

What you will do:

  • Develop and evolve backend microservices in Java using Spring Boot within a large-scale platform.
  • Work on architectures based on REST APIs and Event-Driven systems, contributing to flows across multiple service layers (BFF, domain services, async consumers).
  • Implement and maintain integrations with messaging brokers (RabbitMQ - topic exchanges, listeners, dead-letter queues, retry strategies).
  • Work with data persistence in MongoDB (document modeling, compound indexes, multi-tenant collections).
  • Work with Redis for caching, idempotency and concurrency control.
  • Actively participate in technical refinements, proposing improvements and challenging approaches.
  • Ensure quality through testing practices (unit tests with JUnit/Mockito, integration tests).
  • Contribute to refactoring and structural improvements with focus on maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews with attention to SOLID principles and Clean Code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs using root cause analysis, distributed tracing, and log correlation.
  • Work with observability practices (monitoring, structured logging, dashboards, and alerts).
  • Integrate with external microservices via REST clients (timeout, retry, circuit breaker patterns).
  • Adopt and understand technical documentation (ADRs, architectural diagrams).

We are looking for people with:

  • Git (feature branches, pull requests, code review workflow).
  • Java +17 with Spring Boot (Spring Web, Spring Data, Spring AMQP).
  • Messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or similar).
  • Redis (distributed locks, caching TTL).
  • DevOps fundamentals (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • REST client integration patterns (timeout, retry, resilience).
  • Technical documentation (UML, ADRs)
  • Experience using AI Agents to improve development productivity.

Who should apply?

This opportunity is for professionals who enjoy working on backend systems at scale and collaborating with others to solve meaningful problems. You should be comfortable contributing to technical discussions, open to learning continuously, and motivated to build reliable solutions that make a real impact on our users and business.
