Location: Maui, Hawaiʻi
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

The Opportunity

At Alpha Inc., hiring isn’t transactional — it’s personal.

We’re looking for a people-first, detail-obsessed Talent Acquisition Coordinator who thrives at the center of action and connection. You’ll be the first real Alpha experience for many of our new hires — the voice, the guide, and the steady hand that turns an offer letter into a confident first day.

If you love building relationships, running tight processes, and making people feel genuinely welcomed — all while keeping a dozen details perfectly aligned — this role was built for you.

This is not an entry-level admin role. This is a high-ownership, high-trust position that directly impacts Alpha’s growth, culture, and reputation across Hawaiʻi.

About Alpha Inc.

Founded and grown in Hawaiʻi, Alpha Inc. is a locally owned leader in heavy civil construction, renewable energy, concrete services, drilling, and infrastructure solutions. We build projects that serve island communities for generations — with precision, purpose, and pride.

Our work — and our people — are guided by three core values:

  • Lead with Heart – We treat people with respect, empathy, and care.
  • Strength in Unity – One crew, many talents; we win together.
  • Alpha Mentality – We own outcomes, embrace accountability, and continuously raise the bar.

As Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you live these values every day — especially for our newest team members.

Your Impact

You are the connective tissue between candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and new employees.

You bring order, warmth, and professionalism to every interaction — ensuring that Alpha’s hiring and onboarding experience is seamless, consistent, and human.

What You’ll Do

Own the New Hire Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all new hires, from offer acceptance through successful onboarding.
  • Coordinate and manage onboarding activities, timelines, and documentation with precision and care.
  • Ensure every new employee feels informed, supported, and excited to join Alpha.

Drive Recruiting Operations

  • Support job postings, requisition management, and interview coordination.
  • Schedule interviews and manage candidate communication with professionalism and urgency.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating job descriptions, interview plans, and recruiting materials.

Be the Administrative Backbone

  • Track and manage pre-employment requirements and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in the ATS and HRIS (UKG).
  • Coordinate with Facilities, IT, and Training to ensure new hires are fully set up for success.
  • Monitor and respond to calls, emails, and voicemails related to talent acquisition inquiries.

Support Culture & Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and support early employee integration.
  • Conduct periodic follow-ups with new employees to support engagement and retention.
  • Assist with process improvements, templates, and special Talent Acquisition projects.

What You Bring

You’re organized, personable, and calm under pressure — the kind of professional who people trust immediately.

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in administrative support, recruiting coordination, or HR operations (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience with an ATS and HRIS (UKG preferred).

Mindset

  • You genuinely enjoy working with people and being the “go-to” resource.
  • You take pride in getting the details right — every time.
  • You move with urgency, ownership, and follow-through.
  • You embody Lead with Heart, collaborate through Strength in Unity, and show up daily with Alpha Mentality.

Why Alpha?

Because here, Talent Acquisition isn’t just filling roles — it’s shaping the future of our company.

You’ll join a team that:

  • Values people as much as performance.
  • Builds systems that scale without losing the human touch.
  • Invests in long-term careers, not just short-term hires.
  • Lives its values on jobsites, in offices, and in every interaction.

If you want a role where your organization, communication, and care for people truly matter — this is it.

Requirements (Conditions of Employment)

Employment at Alpha Inc. is contingent upon:

  • Completion of standard pre-employment screening.
  • Successful completion of a background check conducted after a conditional offer; any prior issues will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis consistent with Hawaiʻi and federal law.
  • Passing a drug test (for both full-time and part-time hires) conducted in line with Hawaiʻi statutory requirements.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor employment visas. Employment eligibility will be verified upon hire.

If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or hiring process, please contact us at careers@alphahawaii.com.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Alpha Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We do not discriminate based on any protected status under federal or Hawaiʻi law, and we provide equal opportunity in all employment practices, including recruitment, hiring, promotion, compensation, benefits, and training.

Before You Apply

This role is for someone who loves working with people, takes pride in running clean, organized processes, and wants to be the trusted point of contact for Alpha’s newest team members. You’ll succeed here if you’re proactive, detail-driven, and comfortable owning outcomes without being micromanaged.

This is not the right role if you prefer minimal interaction, struggle with follow-through, or see onboarding and administrative work as “just paperwork.”

At Alpha Inc., we hire A Players who lead with heart, work well as one team, and show up every day with an Alpha Mentality. If that sounds like you, we’d love to connect.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
