
Metrology Calibration Technician

Responsibilities:
- Calibrate instruments such as pressure, temperature, pH, conductivity, and level transmitters, balances, scales, Fillers, Incubator, RO systems, WFI stills, Clean steam generators, Autoclaves, and CIP systems etc.
- Perform routine and corrective calibrations for laboratory and industrial equipment, including but not limited to:
- Temperature sensors, transmitters, and indicators
- Pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, and differential pressure devices
- pH, conductivity, and flow measurement instruments
- CO₂ meters, timers, incubators, centrifuges, and other analytical instruments
- Conduct assessments and process improvements for calibration testing methods.
- Coordinate with external calibration vendors for scheduled and emergency calibrations.
- Maintain calibration records and instrument tagging.
- Document calibration results in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, cGMP, and internal SOPs.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and support root cause analysis for out-of-spec findings.
- Participate in change control, CAPA, and deviation investigations as required.
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience in calibration and metrology within regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, or similar).
- Hands-on experience calibrating temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical instruments.
- Experience with temperature, pressure, flow, pH, conductivity, humidity sensors.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical-manufacturing environment.
- Thorough understanding of metrology principles defined in ASNI/NCSL required.
- Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, SOPs, ASNI/NCSL, and ISO standards.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Procal software.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
