About the team

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Golang, cloud computing on AWS, running workloads in Kubernetes, and building application platforms. The Senior Engineer will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and automation, with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable platforms. If you are passionate about simplifying complex problem spaces into easy-to-use tools and want to work on challenging problems with cutting-edge technologies, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes clusters for running workloads.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications.
  • Build custom Kubernetes controllers.
  • Design and document API definitions.
  • Create tools for developers to improve efficiency.
  • Abstract interconnected systems into platform components.
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience required; Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience working with/building out control-loop style operators highly preferred.
  • Experience in automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong programming skills in Go.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to craft intuitive code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating controllers with kubebuilder.
  • Experience developing developer tooling.
  • Strong understanding of complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Kubernetes administration experience.
  • Experience with crossplane and developing crossplane providers.
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges $160,000 - $210,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living. 
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
