The Enterprise Sales team at Angi seeks a seasoned sales leader to lead a Business Development team as a Director of Business Development. This role reports to the VP of Enterprise Sales and is responsible for leading a team of 8-10 reps in exceeding the Corporate New Sales goals as part of the Enterprise financial plan. The Director will hold the team accountable to building and maintaining a healthy pipeline, and closing business with Corporate Accounts at the Enterprise level. Enterprise clients generate annual revenue of $10M+ and spend $100k+ per year with Angi. The Enterprise business is an important and a growing piece of the Angi sales organization, and this position is key to the success of new business within Enterprise accounts.

 

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:

  • Grow the Enterprise book of business by bringing on new Corporate partners with potential to spend min $100k to $1M+ with Angi leads each year.
  • Play a vital role in setting goals and targets for the Business Development team that allows the Corporate team to reach its financial plan for New Sales.
  • Oversee the team’s efforts in building and maintaining a healthy pipeline at all phases of the sales funnel.
  • In partnership with VP of Enterprise Sales and other Enterprise leaders, identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and other efficiencies to increase production and pipeline development.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to achieve Enterprise business goals by working with cross functional partners and setting timetables for the development, deployment, and evaluation of each initiative.
  • Escalate blockers and issues promptly to VP; summarize business needs and issues concisely.


Develop & Maintain a High Performing Team:

  • Work closely with VP of Enterprise Sales to identify skill gaps in the current team.
  • Develop and execute a training program to address these gaps in partnership with the Director of Training.
  • Consistently coach reps based on individual development areas. This includes joining sales calls for each rep each week for real-time feedback.
  • Hold individual reps and the team as a whole accountable to high performance standards (activity and other production metrics); performance manage individuals following established guidelines.
  • Diligently track performance to business goals and report out on performance regularly to both the team and senior leadership.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sales Director
  • Experience in the Home Services or Lead Generation industry is preferred but not required

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrated success as both a sales individual contributor and as a sales leader of a high performing team
  • Coaching and training experience - including ability to create and deliver training content independently as needed
  • Ability to summarize business performance and needs concisely for various audiences (rep level + senior leadership)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience working cross-functionally to achieve business goals
