We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our high-performing BidMachine team and help us scale our data infrastructure to the next level.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to support analytical, operational, and product needs.
• Own the full lifecycle of data flows — from collection and transformation to delivery and availability.
• Develop and automate ETL/ELT workflows using state-of-the-art orchestration tools.
• Collaborate closely with product, backend, and analytics teams to ensure high-quality and accessible data across the business.
• Define and implement data engineering best practices for performance, quality, and security.
• Contribute to building internal tools that improve data workflows, observability, and developer efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or similar backend/data roles.
• Strong command of Python 3 and data processing frameworks like Pandas, PySpark, etc.
• Solid understanding of modern data infrastructure: data lakes, data warehouses, AWS S3, etc.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
• Familiarity with streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.).
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON, etc.).
•  Comfort working in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
• Based in Barcelona or open to relocating (we offer support!).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks or other data platforms.
• Knowledge of Druid or other OLAP engines.
• Understanding of data quality, observability, and schema management in distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code.
