Cost Development Manager
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do:
As the Cost Development Manager you are responsible for managing the cost of the product. You will leverage data across actual production costs, forecasted product costs, established targets, and industry data to drive cross-functional initiatives to maximize the scalability of the business. Archer is a visionary company moving at an incredible pace, and the Product Cost Lead will be responsible for enabling clarity in a complex environment and drive action to maximize the success of the organization. - Lead a Cost Engineer to define data-drive goals and impactful initiatives
- Analyze global cost trends to define cost opportunity and risk mitigation strategies
- Engage with cross-functional leaders to drive the success of cost-focused opportunities
- Work in a fast-paced environment and engage progress toward cost reductions
- Clearly articulate status, progress, opportunities, and risks
- Present concisely at the executive level to create awareness and influence initiatives
- Distill complex datasets into actionable information
- Full time, based at Archer Headquarters in San Jose
- Travel: Minimal
What You Need:

- Keen ability to cut through ambiguity and delivery clarity to stakeholders
- Self-starter with a powerful drive to learn and innovate
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment and pivot at a moment’s notice
- BS/BA and 6+ years of experience, or MBA/MS and 4+ years of experience
- Work experience in aerospace, automotive, or EVTOL industries
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance
- Experience in should-cost modeling, manufacturing process mapping, raw materials markets and other indexes, executive presentation, and cross-functional coordination
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong analytical and computer skills (excel/sheets, word/docs, powerpoint/slides)

- Data visualization software expertise
- Experience Program Management and Finance roles
