Position Description: 

We are seeking an innovative Gamification and Immersive Media Specialist to pioneer the future of workforce learning through cutting-edge game-based experiences. This strategic role will transform how our organization approaches learning and development by creating immersive, data-driven experiences that span digital, analog, and emerging media formats. The Specialist will be instrumental in building and scaling our Adaptive Specialized Learning Systems (ASLS) framework, establishing industry-leading practices in gamified learning that drive measurable organizational impact and workforce readiness.

Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: 

Strategic Learning Architecture & Innovation

  • (25%) Develop and maintain a comprehensive gamification strategy aligned with organizational learning objectives and business outcomes Establish metrics and analytics frameworks to measure learning effectiveness, engagement, and ROI of gamified initiatives Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies (AI, blockchain for credentialing, neuroadaptive interfaces) to maintain competitive advantage Build partnerships with external game studios, academic institutions, and technology vendors to accelerate innovation Create intellectual property and patent opportunities through novel gamification methodologies Immersive Learning Experience Design

  • (30%) Design and develop sophisticated tabletop exercises, digital simulations, and hybrid experiences for critical skill development in cybersecurity, compliance, ethics, and operational readiness Create advanced probability models and AI-driven randomization mechanics for dynamic, personalized learning paths Develop comprehensive scenario libraries with machine learning integration for adaptive difficulty and content generation Build multi-modal gamification frameworks that seamlessly integrate across LMS platforms, mobile applications, and emerging devices Design experiences that support neurodiverse learners and accommodate various learning styles and accessibility needs Work closely with the Learning Architect and Instructional Designer to contribute to interactive and innovative training programs Content Ecosystem & Knowledge Management

  • (20%) Establish and oversee a centralized repository of gamification assets, templates, and reusable components Develop modular content architecture enabling rapid deployment and customization of learning experiences Create comprehensive documentation including design patterns, best practices, and implementation guides Build AI-assisted content generation pipelines for scenario variations and personalized learning materials Manage intellectual property, licensing, and compliance for all gamification content Cross-Functional Leadership & Delivery

  • (15%) Lead enterprise-wide gamification initiatives involving multiple departments and stakeholder groups Establish Gamification Library for gamification practices across the organization Coordinate with data science teams to implement advanced analytics and predictive modeling Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure deployment of gamified solutions Mentor and develop team members in gamification principles and practices Technology & Platform Development

  • (10%) Define technical requirements and roadmaps for gamification platforms and infrastructure Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including VR/AR/MR, haptic feedback systems, and brain-computer interfaces Oversee API development for gamification services integration Establish DevOps practices for continuous deployment of gamified content Lead proof-of-concept development for next-generation learning technologies

 

Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates: 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in instructional design with gamification elements, game design, or learning experience development with a focus on gamification.
  • Demonstrated experience designing tabletop simulations and card-based learning games.
  • Proficiency in probability modeling, scenario randomization, and game mechanic design.
  • Strong skills in authoring tools and design software (Unity, Unreal Engine, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience developing supporting materials (playbooks, scenario guides, companion assets) for learning environments.
  • Excellent project management, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with VR/AR development platforms and/or immersive simulation design.
  • Background in instructional content development. Knowledge of AI tools for adaptive content and scenario generation.
  • Firsthand practical knowledge in game design with a design portfolio. Familiarity with LMS integration, SCORM/xAPI, and modular learning deployments.
