Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Director of Adult Services. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Adult Services is responsible for the overall operational aspects of DDS licensed residential group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities in portfolio, and other service lines as assigned. This position works collaboratively and in concert with the operations leadership team. The Director of Adult Services oversees the operation of the programs, ensuring the completion of activities related to service coordination, staffing, supervision, ISP program development and implementation, repair and maintenance, and budget management.
The Director of Adult Services works collaboratively with all Aspire teams such as Human Resources, Clinical, Quality Enhancement, Finance and Maintenance, to ensure programmatic success, including agency initiatives, and adherence to agency policies and procedures and licensing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has responsibility for overall coordination of Adult Service programs communicating in a clear, concise and professional manner with other service providers, funding sources, and medical providers, etc.;
- Works Collaboratively with Aspire teams such as Human Resources, Clinical, Quality Enhancement and Training Manager to ensure programmatic success and adherence to licensing regulations;
- Oversees the integrity of programming, supporting a comfortable, stable and healthy living environments for the individuals supported;
- Provides programmatic oversight ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines;
- Supports a culture in which employee growth and development is essential, ensuring proper onboarding and ongoing support of current employees;
- Monitors overtime usage in all programs. Identifies and corrects areas where staffing levels are inappropriate and/or overtime is excessive or inappropriately utilized;
- Assists in the development and oversees the execution of agency initiatives on person centered planning;
- Role model’s leadership in all forums, initiates constructive feedback using servant leadership model.
- Active member in the development of a strategic plan and implementation of assigned objectives.
- Communicate effectively with all agency personnel as well as funding agencies;
- Foster a collaborative working culture between all programs;
- Oversee all budgetary aspects of the program, providing guidance to programs;
- Provides supervision to direct reports regarding their programmatic responsibilities and job performance;
- Develops strong working relationships with State agencies;
- Provides in-house and agency-contracted training and consultation services, as required;
- Ensures that licensed residences attain and maintain licensing requirements;
- Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
- Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in human services, special education, psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience managing in an environment that provides services to people with developmental disabilities.
- Experience and/or formal training in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must have satisfactory background checks
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
