Corporate Marketing Intern

Location: San Jose, CA · Internship · On-site

Role Overview

The Corporate Marketing Intern will help turn Astera Labs’ technology, brand, and company story into clear, consistent experiences for customers, partners, employees, media, and analysts. You’ll work with Corporate Marketing on content, events, executive and customer experiences, brand assets, and the operating systems that keep requests and approvals moving.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how marketing works inside a fast-growing semiconductor company. You’ll research the AI infrastructure market, support high-visibility projects, and partner with teams across the company to deliver work that is useful, polished, and on brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content & Market Intelligence

    • Research semiconductor, AI infrastructure, and connectivity news, market trends, and competitive developments.

    • Turn complex information into concise internal summaries, briefs, presentations, and messaging inputs.

    • Help maintain a regular flow of timely, shareable market and competitive intelligence for internal stakeholders.

  • Brand & Communications

    • Support the creation and review of presentations, written content, event materials, and other corporate marketing assets.

    • Use approved templates, brand assets, trademarks, and messaging; flag materials that need Corporate Marketing or Legal review.

    • Help keep public-facing and internal materials accurate, consistent, and appropriately marked for confidentiality.

  • Events & Executive/Customer Experiences

    • Support event planning, demo readiness, briefing materials, agendas, logistics, and follow-up tracking.

    • Help coordinate the details behind customer, partner, investor, analyst, and press experiences, including Executive Briefing Center activities.

    • Track action items and dependencies across Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Solutions & Ecosystem, and partner teams.

  • Marketing Operations

    • Help manage incoming requests through the Corporate Marketing Service Desk by organizing requirements, routing work, tracking priorities, and following up on next steps.

    • Build or improve simple trackers and processes that make projects, approvals, deadlines, and ownership visible.

    • Support the team’s review and approval workflows for branded items, promotional materials, speaking opportunities, and other external-facing work.

  • Project Ownership

    • Own a defined project or workstream and move it from an initial brief to a polished deliverable.

    • Communicate progress clearly, incorporate feedback, raise blockers early, and present your work and learnings at the end of the internship.

Helpful Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, technical communication, or a related field.

  • Strong writing, editing, research, and presentation skills, with the ability to make technical or business topics clear to different audiences.

  • Interest in semiconductors, AI infrastructure, cloud computing, technology markets, and corporate communications.

  • Experience through coursework, projects, student organizations, or prior work with content creation, market research, event planning, project coordination, or competitive analysis.

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort managing multiple requests or deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, learn quickly, and work effectively through ambiguity.

  • Professional judgment when handling confidential information and external-facing content.

What success looks like

  • Week 1: Learn Corporate Marketing’s brand, content, approval, and request-intake processes; meet key cross-functional partners.

  • By Day 30: Deliver useful summaries, presentations, trackers, or content support while keeping project details and next steps organized.

  • Day 60+: Own a meaningful project, improve a process or deliverable, and move work forward with increasing independence.

  • Final two weeks: Deliver a polished project outcome, document the handoff, and clearly communicate the impact and lessons learned.
