As Manager of Trust & Safety Operations, you will lead safety policy across our global websites and apps, enhancing user experience and shaping the future of our brands. Collaborating with teams across Communications, Corporate Security, Support, Legal, and Engineering, you'll proactively identify risks, develop global policies, and implement safety tools. Your role includes reviewing policies, monitoring regulatory changes, engaging with advocacy and research groups, and coordinating with Legal and Communications to effectively roll out and communicate initiatives.
What you will be doing:
- Prioritizing community safety
- Collaborating with moderation teams to improve processes and tools
- Developing and overseeing various policies, enforcement procedures, and reporting mechanisms
- Overseeing the legal response team and reporting of abuse incidents to relevant NGOs or law enforcement
- Preparing documentation related to new policies, procedures, and tools.
- Proactively identifying risks to the company and its business interests
- Collaborating with outside Trust and Safety vendors on tools and initiatives
- Supporting the standardization of all policies across all internal business units and content sharing platforms
- Overseeing data analysis and regular reporting to identify and evaluate abuse trends to adapt and improve policies and processes
What you’ll need to be successful:
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience working in trust & safety operations/ internet safety
- 1+ years of experience in a people leadership role or experience leading large projects
- Bachelor’s degree in law, communications, marketing, or related field
- Familiar with different areas of abuse related to Trust and Safety, such as child safety, non-consensual content or fraud
- Experience in customer support, anti-abuse or content review
- Ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and juggling many projects at once
- Track record showing effective business judgment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
