Income Tax Analyst

Job Profile:
Banyan is looking to hire an Income Tax Analyst to join its highly functioning offshore Karachi team. Reporting to the Senior Income Tax Analyst based in Canada, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the income tax function for Banyan’s group of companies. Please note that this is an on-site job based in Karachi.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare US federal and state corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers. Coordinate with internal finance team members to gather information required to compete the returns.
- Calculate and submit US corporate tax payments (quarterly estimates, annual extensions). Maintain accurate records for tax payments and refunds.
- Assist with preparing the annual global income tax provision.
- Assist with information gathering and preparation of other US corporate tax filings (eg. Forms W-8BEN-E, W-9, 1099).
- Prepare responses to corporate tax notices received from federal and state tax authorities.
- Maintain organized tax documentation and records monthly for each new acquisition.
- Assist with global transfer pricing calculations and payments.
- Assist with non-US corporate income tax compliance matters.
Job Requirements:
- University Degree in Business/Accounting, CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years US corporate income tax experience, including preparing US federal and state corporate income tax returns.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply US corporate income tax legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with management, internal teams and external tax advisors to obtain information. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to complete multiple assignments with similar deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
