The Position:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior SDET / Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will develop test automation and performance testing efforts, design and implement scalable test frameworks, and drive the overall quality strategy across projects. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and tech leads to ensure reliable, high-quality software delivery while mentoring QA engineers and promoting best practices in automation and continuous testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Development: Design Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for .NET based applications and mobile applications using Playwright, Selenium, and REST Assured for web and API testing.
• Build and optimize test automation pipelines integrated with Jenkins and Azure DevOps for continuous testing and deployment.
• Leverage MCPs (Microsoft Cloud Platforms) for test execution, environment provisioning, and integration with CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and execute end-to-end, regression, and performance tests, ensuring scalability and reliability of applications.
• Manage and maintain test data, environments, and configurations across multiple test suites and modules.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce automation standards, and drive improvements in test design and coverage.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers in test automation, debugging, and framework enhancements.
• Track and analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and release efficiency.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging test tools and practices to enhance automation maturity and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Devops
• Experience with Mobile App testing , API Testing and Documentation tools like rest-assured and postman.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software testing/automation engineering with a strong focus on .NET based applications.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Azure, Appium or similar.
  • Good to have knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
• Bonus Points:
  • Experience with Azure
  • Experience with API testing and documentation tools
