Product Manager II, Mobile Security

Our customers share and collaborate on sensitive information stored in Box including personally identifiable information, intellectual property, and more. With cyber threats on the rise, users continue to be the weakest link in information security and IT security teams need to ensure that such sensitive information is not leaked from their Box instance. That’s why Security products at Box are not only focused on securing user, content and device for all of our customers, but also on tackling the challenges of building information security solutions, like Box Shield, that work on petabyte scale. Actually Box Shield has become the fastest growing and most widely used add-on product in Box’s history, leading to the expansion of our team.
We are looking for someone that has a strong affinity towards understanding data and can drive product roadmap and execution to join the Box Security product team. You will take the lead in a critical product area, specifically Mobile Security. You will partner with the engineering team based at our Warsaw office, and work closely with product marketing, business development, customer success, solution engineering and more cross-functional teams to align roadmaps and execute on the vision.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct market research, customer research and competitive analysis to inform product desicsions and help develop product strategy
- Write detailed product requirements and acceptance criteria by working closely with Product and Engineering Leads
- Partner with Design and Engineering teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones that deliver measurable customer value
- Measure results and iterate on features with a keen eye towards driving metrics that matter
- Collaborate with GTM teams including Marketing, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product Support, Professional Service, etc. to effectively communicate product messaging to customers, identify high-vale use cases, and explore new product opportunities
- Work effectively as part of a geographically distributed team
Who you are :
- 2+ years as software product manager, solution delivery manager, deployment strategist, or project manager
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields
- Capable of leading and motivating a team of engineers in a challenging, dynamic and global environment
- Comfortable with negotiating technical requirements and dependencies across the technical stack
- Effective communication with all types of audiences, developers, procurement, or executives
- Must speak English proficiently
- Experience on building or deploying Mobile products, especially Security products such as authentication, authorization, data leak prevention, data protection, etc., is a plus
Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Percentage of time spent:
- 40% Creating and iterating on requirements & mockups. Working with engineers on sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming and design reviews
- 20% Interacting with customers, sales, solution engineers, customer success, professional service, product support, etc.
- 20% GTM activities such as release management, documentation, collaterals creation, etc.
- 10% Market research, competitive research
- 10% Analyzing metrics
