Who You Are

In this role, you will support the company’s newly structured Portfolio Finance team. This role will report into the Associate Director of Portfolio Finance and will support the teams initiative to build out portfolio analytics to enable streamlined and real-time decision support. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and a strong working knowledge of biotech companies. Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills will be essential for this role, as well as a passion to be a part of the company’s growth. 

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management and Insights 

  • Help structure and support the build-out of key performance indicators and metrics to streamline planning processes and yield data-driven insights across BridgeBio’s affiliates 
  • Partner with functional and affiliate FP&A leads to incorporate portfolio analyses for monthly reporting packages and deliverables 

Stakeholder Engagement and Decision Support 

  • Prepare regular financial updates, including budget vs. actuals, trend analyses forecasting, investment to date, resourcing models, historical cost and other program insights 
  • Support the creation of executive-level presentations to communicate portfolio performance, strategic business insights, and financial recommendations  
  • Develop dashboards that will be shared with key stakeholders monthly to give them direct line of site into their financial performance  

Process Improvement and Automation 

  • Support the enhancement of FP&A tools (including go-live of our ERP and associated predictive analytics capabilities), processes, and systems or tools to guide R&D financial planning and portfolio tracking 
  • Identify and implement best practices to drive efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in financial operations across Finance and Accounting organizations

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting; MBA/CPA are preferred  
  • 6+ years of relevant FP&A or Accounting experience, preferably in the life sciences industry with a focus on therapeutic companies in both pre and post commercial stages 
  • Hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting, and modeling (Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Adaptive Insights and/or Anaplan desired, but are not required)  
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required  
  • Must possess the ability to manage several projects/engagements concurrently  
  • Ability to use superior communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills to frame data and metrics for senior management to enable optimized decision-making  
  • Demonstrated ability to be a strong business partner with high energy and a hands-on approach  
  • Financial systems fluency and versatility with a passion for delivering the right data in the right format to a broad range of audiences 
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to job responsibilities as required to meet the demands and opportunities of a rapidly growing company  
  • Knowledge of GAAP/SOX and an understanding of internal accounting controls

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.

$135,000 - $175,000 USD
