Account Supervisor, Burson Direct Impact Practice, PR/Communications
Hybrid work structure, ideally based in Washington DC as this role will be partially embedded with the client
THE ROLE
Direct Impact, the Grassroots and Local PR practice of Burson Global (a WPP agency) is seeking an Account Supervisor to join our team. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to work with F200 clients in the innovative automotive and financial services sectors performing project management work inclusive of executive visibility, corporate communications and government affairs.
This client-facing role will be responsible for earned/integrated project management across social channels, digital platforms, launch events and awards.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with demonstrated project management success in producing high-quality, on-time and within budget deliverables.
THE WORK:
- Responsible for developing workback plans for announcements/events/drives/Hill days, etc.
- Maintain/update key activities throughout process
- Work with clients and account lead to review/establish project prioritization
- Oversee junior staff in the execution of plans
- Maintain up to date information to trackers, communications calendars
- Serve as another layer of quality control/review of content
- Keep eyes on business objectives with an eye towards new and efficient ways of working
- Become industry expert to advise clients on planning an deliverables, staying on top of news events and industry-related announcements
EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS:
- 4-6 years of experience in project management/operations or public relations/corporate affairs communications
- Strong project management skills and proven ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and identify, secure and employ resources needed to achieve results.
- Prior experience serving as a day-to-day, client-facing account lead
- Advanced writing skills, ability to write for senior level management and audiences adapting tone and style
- Ability to manage complex relationships diplomatically and consultatively
- Ability to think innovatively; develop creative solutions and new programs
- Team player, ready to roll up their sleeves in a collaborative environment
- Experience working in an embedded or in-house client capacity
- Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel and Power Point

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $50,000 to $105,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
