Our team is excited to find an Account Executive to join our fantastic Corporate & Public Affairs practice here in NYC. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented, resourceful, and able to multi-task and prioritize under deadlines. The Corporate team in Burson works with exciting fortune 500 clients that span industries such as professional services, food/beverage, automotive, technology, and financial to name a few. We specialize in Corporate Positioning and Thought Leadership, Executive visibility & Conferences, Awards & rankings, Financial Communications & Investor Relations, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Issues & Crisis Management, Media Relations, Digital, Social & Content Strategy, Data, Analytics & Measurement and Influencer Engagement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop media relations and executive visibility materials including pitches, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, and nominations.
- Support daily media monitoring and scans to identify opportunities and notable industry news for clients.
- Regularly update master media lists and executive visibility trackers of awards, rankings and events.
- Support with various audits and research focused on media and executive visibility.
- Prepare monthly activity reports and maintain editorial calendars.
EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS:
- 1-2 years of PR or equivalent work experience and with solid PR/Corporate Communication internship background.
- Understanding of media relations and previous pitching experience.
- Proficiency in office computer programs including MS Office Suite.
- Strong proofreading, writing and editing skills.
- Professional interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to work on a team and handle multiple projects in a simultaneous and collaborative manner.
- Have a working knowledge of media monitoring and social media tools, from listening/research to community and content management.
- Demonstrate a true passion for and understanding of emerging digital platforms and how they can be leveraged as part of our clients’ strategies.
- Previous agency experience preferred.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 to $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
