Construction Safety Professional – Elevator Rehab
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional for an elevator rehabilitation project at a pharmaceutical facility. This role requires expertise in sub-level work, confined space safety, and GMP compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, site-specific safety policies, and pharma industry regulations.
- Oversee sub-level and confined space safety, including air monitoring, LOTO, and emergency response.
- Conduct JHAs, site audits, and safety training for contractors.
- Manage hot work, rigging, fall protection, and electrical safety.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction safety experience, ideally in elevator rehab, mechanical work, or rigging.
- Experience in sub-level, confined space, and underground construction.
- OSHA 30 required (OSHA 500/510 preferred); CSP, CHST, or other certifications a plus.
- Knowledge of GMP, LOTO, hot work permitting, best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking often on rough terrain.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Ability to stoop, crawl and bend
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Other Requirements:
- Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
- Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
