As we continue to scale our global platform, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a critical role in driving people strategy and organizational effectiveness across Mitchell & Ness.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role partners with leaders across the Mitchell & Ness organization to identify opportunities, design solutions, and drive meaningful impact across the employee experience. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will enhance people practices to support next-level talent development and Fanatics business operations, anchoring your approach in influence, trust, data integrity, and risk awareness. The Human Resources Business Partner delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with leaders across Mitchell & Ness to align people strategies with business objectives, risks, and priorities, ensuring HR serves as a trusted and proactive strategic partner.
- Clarify decision-making rights and escalation paths for employee relations, policy application, and business-critical people decisions to enable faster, more confident leadership action.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and operational stakeholders to design and administer HR policies related to compensation, employment decisions, and employee development.
People Leadership:
- Coach and counsel managers through performance management, compensation reviews, and workforce planning, building leadership capability at all levels of the organization.
- Lead leaders through change and ambiguity by using data to diagnose issues, evaluate options, and drive durable solutions in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Serve as a recognized, approachable resource for employees and managers, facilitating coaching conversations that reinforce a culture of accountability and growth.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
- Ensure a positive employee experience across assigned client groups within Mitchell & Ness, recognizing that an engaged workforce directly drives a better fan experience.
- Proactively identify and address people-related challenges and opportunities that impact business execution and the ability to serve fans at the highest level.
- Support organizational health initiatives by analyzing key people metrics — including engagement, retention, and performance trends — and translating insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen team performance.
- Partner with leaders to develop high-quality action plans and workforce strategies that sustain a culture obsessed with delivering for fans.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
- Investigate complex employee relations matters and recommend effective, compliant resolutions aligned with company values and applicable employment law.
- Lead and support organizational and behavioral change initiatives, bringing creative, scalable solutions to evolving people challenges.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices to identify novel approaches to day-to-day coaching, performance management, and disciplinary situations.
- Leverage data and analytics to develop insights that challenge the status quo and inform better people decisions across the Mitchell & Ness organization.
Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)
- Own ER strategy and execution for assigned client groups, escalating sensitive or high-risk matters appropriately while driving resolution with urgency and care.
- Ensure assigned locations remain compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies, proactively managing risk before it affects the business.
- Manage a wide range of simultaneous priorities with self-motivation and a proactive, go-above-and-beyond approach to delivering results.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, metrics, and formal presentations for all levels of the organization, communicating people insights in a way that drives informed decision-making.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to establish trust and build productive relationships at all levels of the organization, consistent with a "One Fanatics" approach to people partnership.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, EEO regulations, and related labor laws, with demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge to day-to-day HR practice including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action.
- Experience partnering with managers on performance management, compensation reviews, talent development, and workforce planning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to assess organizational health using people metrics — engagement, retention, performance trends — and deliver data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent facilitation and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training to all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strategic agility and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with a self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented working style.
- Experience leading or supporting organizational and behavioral change initiatives, with a track record of influencing leadership decisions through insight, risk assessment, and clear recommendations.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
