Senior Analyst/Associate, Investment Strategy Group

The Senior Analyst or Associate will join ISG to support and enhance the processes and frameworks related to portfolio optimization and portfolio management. This role bridges investment and technical disciplines, focusing on portfolio theory, data structures, and translating investment concepts into scalable systems. This role sits within ICONIQ Investment Management which strives to deliver exceptional investment portfolios by harnessing the differentiated capital and strategic strength of the ICONIQ community.      

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work primarily with the members of ISG that focus on asset allocation and portfolio optimization to produce investment analyses, develop model portfolios, and enhance portfolio management systems.
  • Learn about our investment philosophy and its applications to data structures.
  • Collaborate across teams to optimize and enhance our proprietary portfolio optimization tools.
  • Leverage your understanding of data structures and analytics to develop actionable insights.
  • Apply operational metrics to build analytics about investment performance.

 

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • 2+ years of experience in a quantitative, data, or investment facing role at a financial services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of data science theory and practice.
  • Knowledge of and interest in learning about portfolio optimization and commitment pacing.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas data library preferred) and JavaScript.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including quantitative modeling.
  • Familiarity with investment concepts, especially multi-asset allocation.
  • Ability to balance technical and investment-oriented tasks effectively.

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our New York City office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

 

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $95,000 - $150,000 together with the benefits listed above.
