Manager, Product Management - App/Localization

China - Shanghai

Job Summary: 

As the App/Localization Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our users on both iOS and Android platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products resonate with local markets, driving customer growth and engagement. You will lead a team of 3 product managers, guiding them in crafting localized strategies and executing plans to enhance user experience and foster growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:: 

  • Localization Strategy: Develop and implement robust localization strategies for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring that our products meet the specific needs and preferences of diverse regional markets.

  • User Experience Enhancement: Collaborate closely with product managers and UX designers to localize user interfaces, content, and features, optimizing them for different regions while maintaining brand consistency and quality.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis and user research with Marketing and User Research to identify regional trends, preferences, and cultural nuances, leveraging insights to tailor product strategies and offerings accordingly.

  • Customer Growth Initiatives: Lead initiatives to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement, utilizing data-driven approaches, user feedback, and experimentation to continuously improve performance.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Service to align localization and growth efforts with broader business objectives.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of localization efforts and growth initiatives, regularly monitoring performance and iterating strategies as needed.

  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to a team of 3 product managers, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Proven experience in product management, with a focus on mobile applications, preferably in e-commerce.

  • Strong understanding of localization best practices and experience in executing successful localization strategies across multiple markets.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving customer growth and engagement through data-driven approaches and experimentation.

  • Excellent leadership and English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and inspire team members to achieve common goals.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in utilizing data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure performance.

  • Familiarity with mobile app analytics tools, A/B testing platforms, and localization technologies is a plus.

 

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires five (5) plus years of product management experience

 

Education Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required
