About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Director- Compensation & Benefits to lead a specialized vertical within our People Experience (PX) function. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience from large organizations, preferably within the healthcare sector, with a strong background in mergers & acquisitions and guiding companies through IPO readiness. This role demands a strategic leader who can effectively benchmark global compensation, manage ESOPs, and oversee benefits administration across the US and India.

A Day in the Life

  • Global Compensation Benchmarking:
    • Lead external and internal compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning.
    • Develop and refine compensation structures to align with the organization's growth and market standards.
  • ESOPs Management:
    • Oversee and manage Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), including readiness for public offerings.
    • Provide strategic input on equity compensation to align with company objectives.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Manage benefits programs across the US and India, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with local regulations.
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to attract and retain top talent.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Serve as a key member of the Internal Compensation Committee, working closely with senior leadership.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board members on compensation strategies and initiatives.
  • Compensation Philosophy & Total Rewards:
    • Lead the review and evolution of the company’s compensation philosophy.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive total rewards documents post-appraisal, covering salary, benefits, ESOPs, and other rewards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business partners, recruiters, and operations teams to ensure alignment across functions.
    • Leverage internal resources for support in executing compensation and benefits initiatives.

 What You Need

  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing compensation and benefits in large organizations.
  • Strong background in mergers & acquisitions, IPO processes, and ESOP management.
  • Experience in healthcare is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in managing global benefits, particularly in the US and India.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and Board members.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area for a hybrid working model.
