Senior Estimator (Heavy Industrial)

We are looking to hire a Sr. Estimator for our Heavy Industries business unit. This role will be responsible for creating competitive bid efforts including estimates beginning at the earliest stages of conceptual design through completed construction documents. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing
  • Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, ensuring coordination with estimators and assembling final estimate for owner
  • Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects
  • Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade
  • Maintain Company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' in the construction, engineering, design-build, or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite including excel and estimating database software
  • Advanced knowledge of construction takeoff programs
  • Advanced knowledge of bid solicitation software
  • Systematic planner who attends to details with accuracy and focus
