Sr Electrical Project Manager

Our Heavy Industries Group is looking to add an experienced Sr Electrical Project Manager to their team. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle management of self-perform electrical construction projects within the petrochemical or renewable energy sectors, from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work performance.
  • Manage project budgets exceeding multi-million-dollar thresholds; track costs, forecast expenditures, and drive cost-saving opportunities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, ensuring milestones are met or exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Monitor project safety performance, enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards, and champion a strong safety culture across the jobsite.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations, including NEC, NFPA, and project-specific specifications.
  • Lead project meetings with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders; provide status reports, KPIs, and strategic updates to senior leadership.
  • Interpret and administer complex contracts; collaborate with legal and commercial teams on change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of progressive electrical project management experience in petrochemical or renewable energy construction environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record leading crews on complex industrial projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards, NFPA codes, NEC regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional ability to manage client relationships and deliver under pressure.
  • Ability to travel at 100%.
