Keeley Construction is looking to hire an Senior Accountant in St. Louis, MO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
- Ensure reconciliations are complete, accurate, properly supported, and resolved timely.
- Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
- Assist the Assistant Controller and Controller with the monthly close process, including variance analysis and financial statement support.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing schedules, support, and explanations as needed.
- Identify and help implement process improvements related to reconciliations, close, and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-4 years of accounting experience in public accounting or construction industry required.
- Strong understanding of Month-end close processes, Journal entries, and Account reconciliations required.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience with construction accounting concepts such as job costing and WIP preferred.
