Summary/Overview:

KBRA Holdings, LLC and its affiliates (“KBRA”) is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Legal Department. You will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic and well-equipped to work closely with the other members of the Legal Department on the types of matters described below in addition to other matters that may arise. The position will be based out of our New York office on-site Monday - Friday.    

The Legal Department handles all of KBRA’s legal matters with the exception of ratings. The Legal Department works with analysts, compliance, finance, technology and senior management across the company.

This opportunity is a temporary 10 week assignment starting from Tuesday, March 4th, 2025.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Paralegal, your responsibilities may include:

  • Corporate Governance: Managing and organizing production and distribution of materials for board and committee meetings, maintaining the online board portal, tracking completion of board documents, including meeting minutes and consents, and assisting various teams in tracking and preparing state filings.
  • Contract Management: Maintaining organization of KBRA’s contract management, including managing online portal, maintaining regulatory registers, and maintaining organization and tracking of any updates to KBRA’s form agreements.
  • Data Privacy/Cybersecurity: Working closely with members of KBRA’s Legal and Information Security teams to manage privacy and cybersecurity questions, including responding to customer requests for information concerning KBRA’s compliance with various privacy laws.
  • Regulatory and Compliance: Gaining familiarity with the regulatory framework, laws and regulations applicable to credit rating agencies and how regulations affect all aspects of KBRA, working closely with Legal and Compliance to support regulatory compliance efforts, and organizing documents for submission to regulators on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Special Projects: Assisting with special projects as they arise, with the ability to work on new and challenging issues. 
  • Organizational: Assisting with organizing Legal participation in interdepartmental projects, including coordinating participation, deliverables and input.  

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Have a Paralegal certificate and/or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Have five or more years of corporate paralegal experience with a law firm and/or in-house.
  • Are action and results-oriented, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have strong organizational skills with particular focus on attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this temporary position is $40.00 to $45.00 an hour.
