The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.
LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The 2028 Olympics and Paralympics will represent LA and leverage the strength of our community’s diversity and creativity as we collectively work to design a Games that we all want to be a part of. We do this by focusing on people and by inviting everyone into the story of the LA28 Games.
The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

The Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing will lead our go-to-market plans and marketing campaign initiatives including but not limited to ticketing, volunteer, torch relays and more. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that enhance brand visibility, engage audiences, and drive revenue growth. As a marketing lead, this person will be an exceptional storyteller and excels in project management skills to collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to bring the brand to life. This person embodies the LA28 brand and spirit and will be a key contributor in building a legacy for the Olympic and Paralympic movement through the lens of the fans and athletes.
This is a results-focused role for a hands-on person who is driven to create tangible outputs with cross-functional teams, and who is at ease being a brand steward of the LA28 brand. He/she/they will report to the VP, Marketing and Brand Engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Design and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with LA28’s overarching fan engagement objectives, brand vision, and DEIB values
- Lead Multi-Channel Campaigns: Oversee the strategy development and project management of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive fan acquisition —including owned, earned, and paid media—ensuring cohesive messaging and maximum impact
- Key Engagement Initiatives: Volunteer, Mascot, Torch Relay, and other fan engagement programs
- Influencer and Talent Strategy: Define the influencer, talent management, and ambassador strategy, including the go-to-market plan for key initiatives
- Agency and Partner Management: Lead the RFP process for new agencies, contractors or freelancers from onboarding to integration into LA28 brand and marketing initiatives
- Support Digital Marketing Efforts: Contribute to the digital team’s overarching marketing plans, strategies, and activities to ensure an integrated approach
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Partner with the Data and Insights team to leverage market research and data-driven insights, identifying opportunities to refine strategies and optimize campaign performance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as sales, partnerships, ticketing and hospitality to align marketing efforts, drive fan engagement, and generate revenue
- Campaign Reporting and Communication: Create presentation decks, project agendas, progress updates, and campaign recap reports to communicate initiatives to stakeholders effectively
- Brand Stewardship: Uphold and enhance LA28’s brand identity and reputation across all marketing channels and touchpoints
Requirements
- 12+ years of marketing, fan engagement experience, ideally in the sports and entertainment industry
- Highly knowledgeable and lives in Southern California/Los Angeles area
- Proven experience in marketing campaign development
- Self-starter who is highly passionate about the Olympic and Paralympic movement
- Skilled at working quickly, being resourceful, and paying attention to details
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)

- Adept experience and knowledge in growing fan/audiences through the full customer journey cycle
- Experience in developing and delivering marketing campaigns in the sports and entertainment industry

- Huge interest in sports, pop culture, LA community, and digital marketing
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Candidates should expect a 4-5-day workweek, primarily based in the LA28 Los Angeles office
- The role may require occasional travel for meetings, events, and partner engagements.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are required.
- May involve standing and walking at events, activations, or production shoots.
- Ability to lift and carry light materials (such as marketing collateral) as needed for events.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary, particularly leading up to key campaigns and milestone events.
Education / Training / Certifications
- BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, business, and other related subjects
- Preferred but not necessary – proficient in speaking and writing in more than one language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PPT, Excel, Asana, Smartsheet or other marketing tools
The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
