The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.
LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Marketing Technology
The Marketing Technology Manager oversees the technology used by marketing teams to reach customers and market the Olympic and Paralympic Games pre-, during and post games. They will research, select, and implement software and technology tools to achieve business goals, optimize efficiency and document processes. Reporting to the Director of Digital and Marketing Technology, they will manage the production of digital and marketing technology projects, milestones and deliverables and support the day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help manage and coordinate the technical components of the Games digital presence (i.e. digital offerings, such as websites, landing pages, Volunteering and Ticketing microsites and mobile apps) as well as support the implementation of the digital legacy plan
- Manage and coordinate requirements, technical integrations and workstreams of Meta Business Manager, Google Ads for Paid Media
- Write specification documents and user stories for technical projects (i.e. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Collaborate with Functional Area teams to identify, develop and implement technologies that support marketing strategies and ensure that all aspects of the technology work together seamlessly
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Brand, Volunteers, Ticketing, etc.) to align cross-functional schedules and timing of project delivery
- Manage the production of key digital and marketing technology projects, milestones and deliverables, maintain timelines, project charters and Smartsheet and oversee the technical and development processes to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact between different departments, as well as external partners. This involves facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that everyone is working towards the same objectives
- Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the development process or the success of the team and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks. This involves anticipating problems, developing contingency plans, and helping the Director in making informed decisions to minimize negative impacts
Background & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience managing programs or projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Hands-on experience in building, testing and migrating websites
- Excellent judgment and ability to escalate issues when necessary
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions
- Knowledge of web ADA compliance and best practices
- Experience with Smartsheet, Meta Business Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Powerpoint, Excel
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles such as SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content management systems
- High level of adaptability in a constantly evolving and entrepreneurial environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex and time-sensitive projects
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Experience working within a complex, cross-functional organization
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making
Position Requirements:
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Candidates should expect a standard 5-day week working primarily based in the LA28 Los Angeles office
- Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
Education:
- Required: High school diploma
- Desired: Bachelor Degree, for example in the Arts, Sciences or Technology or related degree from an accredited institution
- Desired: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
