The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Manager, Accommodations & Systems Operations

The Manager, Accommodations & Systems Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and housing systems that support LA28’s accommodations delivery across all Games stakeholders. This role ensures the functionality and integrity of the accommodations reservation platform, manages room inventory in accordance with contracts, and produces key operational reports. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accommodations – Operations, Systems & Finance, the Manager works cross-functionally with the technology team, hotel partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless booking and allocation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the accommodations reservation system including user access, data updates, and platform functionality
  • Track and reconcile room inventory against contracted blocks and stakeholder allocations
  • Collaborate with the technology provider to resolve issues, escalate bugs, and implement system enhancements
  • Create operational dashboards and real-time reports to support leadership decision-making
  • Lead onboarding and training sessions for internal users and external stakeholders
  • Ensure reservation system data reflects current contract terms, release schedules, and rooming policies
  • Partner with the Finance & Contracting Manager to ensure room allocation and booking policies align with contract terms
  • Support Games readiness testing and help execute SOPs for housing operations

Background & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accommodations, housing operations, logistics, or venue services—preferably within major events, hospitality, or sports industries
  • Proven experience managing or working within reservation platforms, booking systems, or accommodation logistics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, allocations, and data integrity across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach to workflow management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams

Position Requirements:

  • Standard office work environment with occasional travel and extended hours as Games-time approaches

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Preferred fields of study: hospitality, event management, logistics, or related areas
  • Familiarity with systems such as Cvent, Salesforce, or similar housing/event platforms
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and basic macros
  • Knowledge of housing reservation systems and event management software is highly desirable

Expectations:

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and a process-driven mindset
  • Systems-minded with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize platform workflows
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving needs and timelines
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal departments (e.g., technology, legal, procurement) and external partners (e.g., hotels, housing vendors)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; capable of training and onboarding diverse stakeholder group

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
