Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.


Legend Biotech is seeking Senior/Executive Director of Sales as part of the Commercial team based Remote. 

Role Overview

The Senior/Executive Director of Sales at Legend Biotech is a pivotal leadership role, tasked with steering the Cell Therapy sales organization towards achieving groundbreaking success. This executive is responsible for crafting a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence, while mastering Market Access, Pharma Commercial Policy, SOP creation, Incentive Compensation development/management, Performance Management, Commercial Training & Development and Commercial Partner Collaboration. A significant part of this role involves leading through collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Medical, Commercial Excellence, CAR-T Operations, Nursing, Legal, Compliance, and Finance at Legend Biotech to ensure a unified and effective approach to market leadership.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: Formulate and implement a national sales strategy at Legend Biotech that incorporates Market Access insights and Pharma Commercial Policy, aligning with collaborative initiatives across departments to drive growth and market penetration for our Cell Therapy products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Champion and nurture strong partnerships with Marketing, Medical, Commercial Excellence, CAR-T Operations, Nursing, Legal, Compliance, and Finance departments at Legend Biotech to ensure cohesive strategy and execution, enhancing the impact of our sales efforts.
  • Market Access Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of Market Access strategies to effectively navigate the healthcare landscape, ensuring Legend Biotech’s Cell Therapy solutions are broadly adopted and accessible.
  • Commercial Partner Collaboration: Spearhead collaborative efforts with industry partners to promote a unified market presence for Legend Biotech, optimizing strategies for market penetration and leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain SOPs at Legend Biotech that reflect the highest standards of industry practice and regulatory compliance, promoting operational excellence across the sales division.
  • Incentive Compensation: Design and manage incentive compensation plans that motivate high performance, aligning with Legend Biotech’s objectives.
  • Performance Management: Implement a performance management system that accurately measures achievements, fosters continuous improvement and creates a culture of accountability.
  • Commercial Training and Development: Ensure commercial teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools to excel in a competitive pharmaceutical landscape. Aligning training programs with strategic objectives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, to enhance the field team’s effectiveness and support long-term organizational success.
  • Culture of Excellence: Cultivate a culture at Legend Biotech where accountability, ownership, and solution-oriented approaches are foundational, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and peak performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or specialty sales, with extensive expertise in Market Access, Pharma Commercial Policy, and significant experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in national sales leadership roles, with a focus on strategic planning, team development, and achieving sales excellence in competitive markets, preferably within the healthcare or biotech sectors.
  • Proven track record in product launches, market expansion, and establishing scalable sales operations, ideally within Legend Biotech or similar organizations.
  • Deep understanding of Market Access dynamics, Pharma Commercial Policies, and the strategic importance of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of inspiring, motivating, and driving high performance across diverse teams at Legend Biotech.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop innovative sales strategies and foster collaborative partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders within and outside Legend Biotech.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of accountability, ownership, and proactive problem-solving at Legend Biotech.
