We’re looking for a Content Specialist to join our Marketing team in Montrèal. As a key member of Lightspeed’s dynamic in-house Brand Content & Creative team, you’ll steer our French brand and marketing materials, as well as support our internal/external comms and PR materials in Québec alongside our Senior Localization Project Manager. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Content, you’ll lead our Québec content, including overseeing the editorial calendar, translating marketing product assets, creating brand material, and supporting social media campaigns. Your work will have a direct impact on reaching our Québec-based customers and positioning Lightspeed as the leading one-stop commerce platform for businesses everywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and overseeing the QuĂ©bec editorial calendar for the NOAM region
  • Creating original relevant articles and translating articles for our French blog
  • Writing customer case stories and developing a QuĂ©bec customer quotes database
  • Supporting the Social Media Manager to create compelling content/campaigns on our various platforms
  • Working closely with the Senior Localization Project Manager to translate brand, marketing, internal/external comms and PR materials (website pages, promo campaigns, product releases, customers/partners comms, video scripts, one-pagers, corporate reports, intranet, press releases, etc.), working with various stakeholders to define scope and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Building and maintaining relationships with various internal stakeholders, as well as external freelancers and agencies
  • Collaborating with localization leads on the Product Content and Customer teams to align on QuĂ©bec product naming and established terminology
  • Working closely with the Legal team to ensure Lightspeed’s ongoing compliance with QuĂ©bec’s language laws

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in comms, journalism, marketing, translation, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years experience in marketing content writing/management
  • 2-3 years experience with English-to-French translation
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills in French and English
  • Proactive problem solving skills, resourcefulness and creativity
  • Good knowledge and/or very strong interest in the QuĂ©bec hospitality and retail markets
  • Some experience or exposure to:
    • Wordpress or other content management systems
    • Project management systems (Monday, Wrike, Asana, etc)
