We're looking for a Product Designer to join our Newmarket team. You will be responsible for delivering clear design documentation, refining and enhancing Lightspeed’s design, and growing your skills alongside Senior Product Designers. You'll engage with retailers through interviews and user testing, contribute to broader team objectives, and continuously challenge yourself to learn and improve.The ideal candidate for this role possesses excellent visual design and interaction skills, as a proactive problem-solver you are driven by delivering real value to customers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating: Create production deliverables that clearly communicate design solutions to the wider team and serve as documentation for implementation.
• Improving: Continuously refine and enhance both small and large design details at Lightspeed.
• Growing: Collaborate closely with Senior Product Designers to develop professional design and problem-solving skills.

And a little bit of… 

• Delighting our retailers, during interviews, user tests, site visits, and any other encounters
• Contributing with the wider team to achieve our company objectives, even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role!
• Always be learning and challenging yourself!

What you need to bring:

• A background in design-thinking or a related field such as User Experience, Design, Visual Arts, Architecture, Industrial Design, or Communication.
• Previous experience designing products (research, UX, UI) or collaborating with teams that develop using web technologies.
• Familiarity with visual design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with or knowledge of prototyping tools such as InVision, FramerJS, or front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
