Channel Marketing Manager
Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Channel Marketing Manager to lead carrier channel marketing efforts with North American mobility partners, including Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. This role is responsible for developing and executing channel marketing strategies, managing marketing operations, and driving customer acquisition and retention.
Reporting to the Director of Carrier Channel Marketing for North America, this experienced channel leader will oversee marketing budgets, experiential programs, and performance measurement while continuously optimizing tools, processes, and strategies to meet business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment with democratized information flow. Success in this role requires the ability to influence without authority, effectively engage cross-functional teams, and work seamlessly with product management, business development, marketing, and operations, including customer leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute North American retail channel marketing strategy in collaboration with Category and Product Marketing teams.
- Build programs that optimize awareness, trial, conversion, and retention across various products and services.
- Manage channel co-marketing and operational budgets, ensuring performance-driven execution and tracking against agreed-upon metrics.
- Identify new channel marketing opportunities in North America and collaborate with global leaders to assess and drive key decisions.
- Coordinate and oversee marketing components for Quarterly Business Reviews, including regional share, business context, and performance tracking across partner channels.
- Deliver key sales and marketing performance metrics, ensuring accurate reporting and actionable insights.
- Lead content and campaign activities across retailers, ensuring all marketing materials align with brand standards and strategic goals.
- Execute marketing and merchandising initiatives with North American retail partners, maintaining compliance with budget and KPI requirements.
- Continuously optimize marketing programs to enhance efficiency, recommending improvements to tools, processes, and innovations.
- Present marketing strategies and initiatives to retail partners, executives, and business development teams.
- Manage regional accounts, including full-funnel marketing execution in Canada.
- Oversee lower-funnel marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with broader growth initiatives.
- Improve visibility into global marketing investments, managing full-channel budgets for maximum impact.
- Manage relationships and processes for third-party agency partnerships, ensuring streamlined execution and results-driven outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Channel Marketing or similar role.
- Proven success in consumer technology brand marketing, demonstrating measurable achievements.
- 4+ years of experience developing go-to-market strategies, planning, and execution across digital and physical retail channels.
- 4+ years of experience collaborating with online retail partners, with expertise in key advertising metrics such as:
- CPC (Cost per Conversion)
- CPA (Cost per Acquisition)
- LTV (Lifetime Value)
- ROAS (Return on Advertising Spend)
- Strong knowledge of Gross Margin Return on Investment (GMROI), inventory turnover, and retail performance metrics.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate marketing strategies to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies.
- Experience managing cross-functional relationships and external vendor partnerships.
- Highly effective at conflict resolution, fostering positive team dynamics while addressing stakeholder concerns.
- Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, adaptable, and capable of navigating various organizational structures.
- Ability to develop and manage project trackers to maintain execution clarity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Global retail experience outside of North America.
- Experience working with innovative, industry-disrupting technologies (e.g., Uber, Nest, Apple iPad).
- Background in creative/design, with experience in visual storytelling and marketing materials.
- Expertise in direct-to-consumer physical retail strategies within a brand-driven environment.
- Experience leading projects from concept stage through design, development, and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across sales, product, brand, channel marketing, and legal teams.
- Strong fiscal responsibility, with experience maintaining budgets and optimizing marketing investments.
- Ability to create executive and partner presentation decks that effectively communicate marketing strategies.

Role type: Contract 4 Month Position (will likely extend to 12 months)
